Aniene Roma

ITA · training base Rome, Italy · estimated programme effect computed 2026-08-20.

This page is a design specimen. Every figure below is illustrative sample data. Nothing here has been computed from race results and nothing here is published by Swimetrica. Aniene Roma and the swimmers named are real; the numbers attached to them are not.

Estimated programme effect

The coach effect estimator looks at how much a swimmer’s season-to-season change goes beyond what the development curve already expects at their age. The part that’s left over — the part associated with this specific programme — is the estimated programme effect below. It’s an association inside a fitted model, not a cause.

Method for the coach effect estimator v1.4 — the fitted population, the thresholds, and what the estimate does not support

What this estimate does and does not support

It supports the statement that swimmers at this programme improved faster than the development curve expects for their ages and events in the 2026 season, by a margin whose 95% interval excludes zero. It does not support the statement that the programme causes the improvement: swimmers who train here weren’t randomly assigned there, and the estimator can only adjust for what it can see — how fast a swimmer was already improving before they joined, not why they chose this programme in the first place. Coach change and the persistence of an estimated club effect tests a related question — what happens to a programme’s estimated effect after its head coach changes — across 214 programmes; this page doesn’t record a head-coach change inside the fitted window.

Roster of record

Names are rendered in the script of record. Ages are stated as of the computation date. Nothing in this table is a model output, so nothing in it carries an interval.
