Which federations supply what, how often, and — the part that is usually left out — what is missing.
What is supplied
Race results are supplied by 31 national federations, 2009–2026. Coverage varies by federation in three ways that matter to a reader: which meets are reported (some supply every sanctioned meet; four supply championship meets only), how far back the archive runs (from 2009 for 11 federations, from 2019 for the rest), and whether junior results — races swum before age 15 — are included at all (19 of the 31).
What is missing, and why that is on this page
Coverage gaps are reported next to the figures they affect rather than filed in an appendix, because an undescribed gap reads as completeness the record does not have. A swimmer racing exclusively under one of the four championship-only federations has, on average, 3 recorded races a season against a cohort median of 9 — a wider interval as a direct consequence, and a lower chance of clearing the five-race threshold for ranking. Neither fact is a statement about the swimmer, only about what the supplying federation recorded. Where a ranking is materially shaped by what a federation does not supply, the table states it directly.
Swimmers under 18
Swimetrica publishes adjusted times and intervals for swimmers under 18 where the federation has published the underlying result. It does not publish development-curve projections, coach-effect attributions, or any modelled claim about a minor’s future performance.
